  • Laetien is the primary and primordial deity of Eoferan. Almost universally recognized to be the most powerful of the pantheon of gods, however also the most distant. His power is nigh-infinite, having the ability to tap into all the schools, domains, and portfolios of his children. Laetien is thought to be older than the sun, older than the planet, older than the moon, and as a cosmological representation of the very essence of the universe itself.
Very few modern peoples are actually followers of Laetien, and his church is considered revered, however extinct by most modern churches. The few that do still worship him are the oldest of the elves, and undoubtedly a few isolated sects of dwarves, but to humans and goblinoids, for instance, his existence is not so much as a deity, but as an omniscient presence that their gods use as a guide in service to their roles in "Laetien's plans". Laetien is called an emphasis to a need in another god's portfolio, IE if someone were to pray for a safe voyage, and wanted to emphasize how concerned they were about the safety of the voyage, he would pray to Laetien over the normal deity.   From what can be estimated during the high points of Laetien's Mystery Cult, the followers of a contemporary Laetien tended to favor features of the Earth and sky to the deities, with short prayers for good weather and favorable harvests being some of the first known wishes expressed to the god. Though over the millennia, Laetien's portfolio has expanded drastically, as new cultural gods were added to the pantheon under Laetien as his children.   The only known modern followers of Laetien are a secretive sect of Aasmiar that live low in the cliffs between the island of Kisib between the main continent and the island of Kirshdorf. The locals are a little less than friendly, so despite knowing of them, not much is known about them outside of the few and far between adventurers that have come from that place.

    Divine Symbols & Sigils

The pentagram with an inverted angle is the primary symbol of Laetian on it's own, and is often used for the shape of divine symbols, some weapons, hilts, and shields that are devoted to the god. Shape may be filled in any of the primary colors, wedges of those colors, shards of those colors, or in enemy or allied pairs.

    Divine Goals & Aspirations

Laetian has goals stretching across the eons at a scale that it is unreasonable to believe these goals to be discerned in their overarching glory. However, if you are assigned a task for a god, know that you are working towards Laetian's Goals.
