Preface
They call me seeress, witch, root-digger, wind-talker. Let them. The wind knows my name better than they do. I’ve walked under the bones of Yggdrasil’s shadow, gathered frostbitten blooms by the light of the moon, and bled my hands pulling cursed thorn from a war-bound jarl’s flesh.
This book is not for soft hands or idle curiosity. These pages hold what the runes taught me—what grows where the gods once trod. Some herbs here will heal. Others will open the gates between worlds. A few will twist your tongue so you speak in the speech of wolves and ravens.
Each plant recorded within has a tale. You’ll find ink made of ash, pressed petals from Skadi’s breath, and drawings smudged by travel and snow. I have written what I know. The rest, the wind must teach you.
If you read this, then you walk the wild path. Keep your blade clean, your fire burning low, and never harvest on a full moon without an offering. The land listens.
