Skadis Tear

  • Teardrop-shaped and hangs downward like a frozen droplet
  •
  • Delicate silver veining is visible under moonlight or magical light
  •
  • Emits a soft, cold glow in darkness

Stem:

  • Thin, brittle, 5–10 cm in length
  •
  • Slightly twisted like wind-blown frost
  •
  • Appears coated in glimmering hoarfrost
  •
  • Anchors delicately into stone overhead, almost rootless in appearance

Folklore:

"Legends say the fungus blooms where Skadi wept for the world’s forgotten places. It is seen as a sacred sign — a silent blessing to those who walk alone through forgotten shadows. In northern tribes, it is worn in crystal lockets by mourners, believed to keep their loved ones' memories preserved in the realm of ice. Some say the fungus sings at dawn in the High Winter — a soft, keening note that only the heartbroken can hear."
