The Laws of Engwilt
The physical laws that apply in our world mostly apply to Engwilt as well, yet they are actually defined in a language known as the Correspondence. This is the language spoken - or sometimes even just though in - by mages to manifest their magic. If someone would theoretically speak it fluently, they could alter the very fabric of reality on a whim.
Cosmology
The world was created when its concepts were written down onto the skies themselves by an entity known as The King that Never Was, a consciousness that was the first thing that existed and has long since been betrayed. Barely any mortal knows of them.

The world and its geography is directly affected by the stars, and strange occurrences can happen in any place that is completely shielded from their light.
Initial Active Setting
The initial scale is the country of Grand Vailia and surrounding islands, yet the entire continent of Rameria - which Grand Vailia is located on - will slowly be filled in.
