Kingdom of Cerwood
Cerwood is a largely rural Ramerian Successor State with few natural resources and a weak military.
Most of its economy relies on the few iron and copper mines there together with the countless farm strewn across the countryside. They also have a large fishing sector, yet most of the produce stays within the borders.
There are still remnants of the Eastern Mining Guild within Cerwood, the company crushed by the Darcozzi during the Uprising, something that continues causing a divide between the two nations.
None of these factions had the political clout or resources required to unite the others under their banner, yet the Darcozzi were quickly approaching from the North and the Casterians from the East, taking out ever more minor nations with their superior armies. When the old Ramerian Empire was dissolved on the 7th of , the charismatic Henry Lancaster, leader of one of these factions, managed to convince a previously set-up council of Nuvusk Leaders to federalise into a single entity in the hopes of stalling the other nations' expansion, acting solely defensively during The Independence Wars.
The lack of high nobility removes much of the splendor and magnificent buildings, as even the upper class has comparatively little money.
Most of the industry is based around sustenance, either growing wheat, raising cattle or catching fish, with even the mining sector being rather underdeveloped due to a lack of demand.

Founding
For most of the Civil War period, the province of Nuvusk, which is now divided between Cerwood, Casteria, and the Darcozzi, was split between countless smaller nations led by minor nobles or even just local peasant leaders.None of these factions had the political clout or resources required to unite the others under their banner, yet the Darcozzi were quickly approaching from the North and the Casterians from the East, taking out ever more minor nations with their superior armies. Culture
The Culture of Cerwood is heavily influenced by the relative poverty of its populace: while they do have enough to eat and live a somewhat comfortable life, they have little money to spend on anything else. The people are also still very religious, thanks in large parts to the temples that hold large swathes of land. The lack of high nobility removes much of the splendor and magnificent buildings, as even the upper class has comparatively little money.

Diplomatic Relations
Due to the rather impoverished state of Cerwood, it has no diplomatic treaties with other nations, as its only two direct neighbors - Darcozzi and Casteria - are actually looking to expand their territory further, potentially crippling the small nation of Cerwood even more.Military
Navy
The Navy of Cerwood is rather small and mainly consists of retrofitted fishing vessels to drive off pirates, yet far too few to actually be used effectively in a war.Military
The military is largely untrained, yet decently equipped thanks to the iron mines in the Sierra Leda. The small army is hardly enough to defend the border and the King has to rely on his vassals to help defend the country in the case of war.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
