Inner Planes
The Inner Planes are the deepest foundations of reality, the primordial realms from which all matter, energy, and physical substance flow. Long before mortal civilizations rose in Enderlin, these planes existed as vast, eternal forces, shaping the building blocks of the Material Plane.
Unlike the Outer Planes, which are defined by belief and ideology, the Inner Planes are governed by raw elemental law. Stone, flame, wind, water, life, and decay all trace their origins to these realms.
At their heart lie the Elemental Planes, each embodying a single, pure element. Where these elemental forces mingle, Paraelemental Planes form, unstable regions of blended matter. Beyond them, where elemental substance is touched by the powers of creation or entropy, exist the Quasi-Elemental Planes, shaped by radiant life or consuming decay.
Though distant and often hostile, the Inner Planes are never truly separate from the Material Plane. Volcanic eruptions, supernatural storms, strange minerals, and areas of unnatural decay are often seen as echoes of these realms pressing close to the world.
To scholars and arcanists, the Inner Planes are not merely other worlds — they are the hidden engines of existence, endlessly fueling the reality mortals inhabit.
