Oakendale

The village of Oakendale resides upon the cliffs and falls of the Snow River. With its strategic overlook at the edge of the region Pinemarch Oakendale sees much trade that flows in and out of the mountain region.

Government

The Town is headed by a local elder that is often given the title of Mayor and serves the ruling lord of the region.

Defences

The town is fortified by wooden palisades and towers wile backed by a cliff wall with its weakest point being that of the Snow River that cuts through the middle of town.

Industry & Trade

The town acts as a hub from the mountainous region down to the rest of the kingdom with much of the quality ore passing though it.

History

The settlement was founded for its strategic use as trade flowed from the old dwarven stronghold of Cold Halls down to the ports of Stormguard. Now the town has slowly dwindled down over time with the fall of the Cold Halls and less trade passing thought the mountains these days.

Oakendale straddles the Snow River on a cliff overlooking the edge of the Vale of Pinemarch.
