Mount Marion

Its cold peaks rest on the shores of three nations, Lying near the end of the Ice Mountains, Mt. Marion brings a cold soul that has been withered by time but still holds a fiery breath

Geography

Mount Marion holds 3 peaks; The Spear, the Sword, and Stone, each mountain holding symbolism for the varying cultures and races of the regions. On the southern arm of mountain can be found the Cold Halls, an ancient dwarven settlement, since abandon to fell beasts that now rule the halls and the riches in the deep caverns

Fauna & Flora

Most of the area surrounding the base of the mountain are barren of only shrubs and mountain grass. Great Horned Goats roam the sides and steps of the mountain grazing in heard's once managed by dwarven lords of old.

History

The mountain was first marked by the Vale-men as a place of importance in the culture for some unknown reason and seems to often been used as a meeting place for nobles and clans. It would not be until a dwarven expeditionary party stumbled upon the region and the mountain itself that it became in habited, with the dwarves calming in as one of their new mansions. Over time the mountain and the kingdom inside of it would grow to prosper with trade flow out of its gates, but eventually it would draw the ire of the serpents of the Dragar who had long been kept sate with their fledgling cults to the south, and it did not take long for a drake by the name of Eddras soon flew north and took the wealth for his own and from then on the entrances to the mountain lay quit with the dragon and his horde within.
