Gokmar

(a.k.a. Mineral)


Gokmar is an aspect of Ylithuum and a physical aspect. It consists of mineral earth such as rocks, stone, gems, crystals —raw elements (periodic table, not magic elements). There is a point as well where organic soils become mineral through fossilization, permineralization or petrification as minerals permeate the organic material. Its counterpart is Oksi, gas. Both of them have strong ties to the periodic table, often being able to manipulate them in their pure form.

Racial Manifestations



When Ylithuum gifted all lifeforms with her magic, each life form was capable of receiving two gifts. Each of these blessings would grant the lifeform a connection to a specific aspect and this connection could be utilized in a given way. These gifts were passed down to their descendants as well and eventually beings came to call these gifts Racial Magic. These are named by the aspect a caster is connected to and by how they can use it, how they manifest their connection.

Manifestations

Manipulation
Able to manipulate minerals present in their environment.

Aura
Able to summon or generate a type of mineral.

Movement
Able to walk, step or move on or through minerals.

Slip
Able to allow their body to interact with physical matter similarly to a kind of mineral, the type of mineral determines these properties.
Eye::Able to see minerals present around them and can tell different kinds apart, appearing as different colors.

Able to see their environment using minerals and see what kinds of minerals are in their environment despite barriers.

Sense
Able to feel their environment using minerals, feel anything interacting with these minerals and sense what kinds of minerals are in their environment despite barriers.

Skin
Can produce a kind of mineral from their skin, building up layers and expanding this mineral around themselves in different shapes.

Touch
Can mineralize or fossilize materials, including organic materials, via touch, filling them with a kind of mineral. The longer the touch is maintained, the more pervasive this effect.

Charge
Able to absorb moisture, nutrients and magic energy from organic matter, living or dead, and store it within their body. They can use this for sustenance, to replenish magic energy, transfer this into other organic material such as lifeforms or soil or even release it like an aura.

Craft
Able to craft minerals by hand with great detail and without need for tools. Useful for masonry or art.

Diet
Can consume a kind of mineral for sustenance or to replenish magic.

Bone
Can convert their bones to a kind of mineral.

Will
Can produce minerals which amplify the magic of others upon contact or extend this effect into minerals already present. Only amplifies light, fire, earth, energy and plant magic.

Blade
Can generate blades of a given mineral from their body or as bladed weapons.

Breath
Can breath despite being underground or can go long periods without needing to breath.

Sleep
Able to induce a target into a hibernation like sleep by surrounding them with soil. The target gestates within the soil, using the nutrients, moisture and magic within the soil to heal and restore their body.

Shield
Immune to negative effects and/or damage from all mineral magic and naturally occurring minerals.

Vision
Able to enter a meditative state in which the caster can explore and peek through portals or windows within Gokmar's Plane.

Step
Can enter and exit Gokmar's Plane via portals and travel the plane freely, without injury. Can bring another with them while maintaining contact.

Form
Can convert parts of their body into a mineral or has this mineral incorporated into their form.

Body
Can convert entire body into any mineral and merge with or travel along other minerals.
