Flithmar

(a.k.a. Flame)


Flithmar is an aspect of Ferith and is a physical aspect. It consists of flames. This is the most literal form of Ferith and how most people imagine fire. The same can be said of its counterpart Ithisda, liquid water. The heat and results of fire fall under other aspects.

Flithmar's Plane itself is filled with flames that need no fuel to burn. Flames from the physical world burn and flicker by intensity about the plane. One massive flame sits at the heart of this plane and all of the portals revolve around it in a massive sphere or orbit. One can stare into the fire of a portal or window and see the physical world within it, flickering with the fire it represents.

Racial Manifestations



When Ferith gifted all lifeforms with their magic, each life form was capable of receiving two gifts. Each of these blessings would grant the lifeform a connection to a specific aspect and this connection could be utilized in a given way. These gifts were passed down to their descendants as well and eventually beings came to call these gifts racial magic. These are named by the aspect a caster is connected to and by how they can use it, how they manifest their connection.

Manifestations

Manipulation
Able to manipulate and reshape flames present in their environment.

Aura
Able to summon or generate flames.

Movement
Able to walk, step or move on or through flames.

Slip
Able to allow their body to interact with physical matter similarly to flames, most matter passing right through them. These materials also behave as if interacting with fire such as burning.

Eye
Able to see despite, through and able to see using flames. Can tell details about the fire like what is burning and the temperature.

Sense
Able to feel their environment using flames, feel anything interacting with fire and sense fire in their environment despite barriers and qualities of them.

Skin
Can produce fire from their skin and expand the flames around themselves in different shapes.

Touch
Can ignite materials via touch, the flames becoming more intense and spread further with continued contact.

Charge
Can store up flames inside their bodies including from attacks. They can convert this to energy, transfer the energy to another or re-release the flames like an aura at will.

Diet
Able to consume or absorb flames as sustenance or to replenish magic energy.

Pocket
Able to create small portals into Flithmar's Plane big enough to reach their hands or arm inside and can place or remove small items from the plane. Anything placed inside will burn.

Will
Can produce flames which amplify the magic of others upon contact or extend this effect into flames already present. These will still burn those without resistances.

Breath
Can exhale flames in varying intensities.

Shield
Immune to negative effects and/or damage from all flame magic and naturally occurring flames.

Vision
Able to enter a meditative state in which the caster can explore and peek through portals or windows within Flithmar's Plane.

Step
Can enter and exit Flithmar's Plane via portals and travel the plane freely, without injury. Can bring another with them while maintaining contact.

Form
Can convert parts of their body into flames or has fire incorporated into their form.

Body
Can convert entire body into flames and merge with or travel along other fire.
