Oakstone
History
Though people have lived in the low basin between the Red River and the Silk River basin for thousands of years, the current settlemant has been in this location since 635. The town has held a stable population, but has not grown since the mid 750s. The town is famous for its exotic animal training and its mudbricks, which are shipped all over the continent.
Population
The town has 2800 people, primairly gnome (65% ) with halflings (15%) Humans (10%) and Elves (10%) making up the rest.
Economy
The mud from the banks of the river basins makes strong bricks when fired properly. Generations from Oakstone have folded and sculpted these bricks now sent all over Belkar. The exotic animals, most notably elephants are trained here. The best exotic animals are trained here, so much so that people will pay a premium for animals trained in Oakstone.

The town of Oakstone, known for its Mudbricks, seems to be sculpted from the ground it sits on. Its nice warm weather and tropical climate makes for a very pleasant place to live.
