Tybalt - Lord of Cats
Baron Tybalt (a.k.a. Lord of Cats)
"He's a very ambitious man that one. You'd do well to stay close to him."Tybalt was second-in-command to Duke Hana Khalid, and increasingly a companion to Duchess Amakler. Some folks refer to Tybalt as the "Lord of Cats". As of late 300 YR, Tybalt has been named Baron of Cragmaw.
Early Life
It is generally held that Tybalt was born in Marothell in 272 YR and migrated to Argyle in his teens. He found his way into military service as the campaign against the Green Dragonflight was winding down, but was able to distinguish himself in combat against other large predators that sought to fill the vacuum.Duke Khalid
Tybalt has been in the Duke's service since 291 YR. He has served as the Duke's castellan on occasion, but has proven himself invaluable in the field and in palace intrigues, causing the Duke to want Tybalt with him whenever possible. It is common to find Tybalt in the capital during the winter, representing the views of Duke Khalid.Duchess Amakler
Tybalt has also endeared himself to Duchess Amakler of Northern Argyle and serves as her occasional advisor. The nature of his advisement is not known, though it is said that her needs of skills diplomats are growing due to concerns within her Duchy and across the border with Sirastir.Conspiracy
Some townsfolk in nearby Hillyard have taken to calling Tybalt the "Lord Consort of Smallston House".Baron Cragmaw
On the 15th day of Selune, 300 YR, Prince Luctor granted Tybalt a barony, overseeing lands to the west of Icespire Peak, including Phandever and the surrounding mines. Placing his seat of power in the long abandonned Cragmaw Castle, Tybalt took the title of Baron Cragmaw. Within days of Tybalt's elevation, it was learned that his former commander, Duke Khalid had been slain, and a contentious power struggle began between the Duke's three apprentices. General Physical Condition
Slim and muscular like a jungle cat, Tybalt is in prime fighting health. His frequent missions throughout the wilds of Argyle have not left him much worse for the wear.
