Venrok

The Venrok is a steep hill standing in the center of Darrendal. It has always been considered to be the spiritual heart of the Darrendal region, long since even before Emperor John Darren I repurposed it as his bulwark against the demonic Breach.
Hewn in the southwestern face of the rock is the Temple of the Boar, originally a temple to Enkvar but nowadays repurposed as a more general house of worship for the Church of the Holy Pentagon.
On the northwestern face of the rock, on the second-highest plateau, is the Terpsichorean Odeon, also known as the Little Fool's Stage, a small amphitheater where most important announcement of state are made, as well as routine plays and performances on other days.
On the highest point of the rock, to the northeast, stands Unicorn Tower, an old sentry point used in the times of the Breach to spot incoming demons and now which offers the best view of the city.
The Eastern side offers the entry to the Imperial Walkway, the bridge that leads to the Imperial Palace.
The southern side zig-zags down in a long stairway, offering easiest access to the rock.
Finally, in the center of the plateau stands Holly Hall, the Emdarian Empire's Parliament building where nobles and representatives of other classes convene to discuss matters of state and advice the Emperor.
