Custodians of the Stars

Founded just over a century ago by a group of particularly business-savvy genasi in Gliziarial, the Custodians of the Stars have slowly grown to be a decently-equipped faction of mages, artificers, warriors, and paladins who roam the planes of Yophas by magic, by foot, or by Ipacian Navigator to "protect the people of the multiverse." Though many of the Custodians themselves genuinely believe in this mission, the payments required by the higher-ups for jobs to be taken and the commission cut from said payment implies the command structure may feel otherwise. 
Additionally, the leaders of the Custodians are nameless, faceless merchants who fund the Custodians in exchange for a cut of their job rewards. It is for this reason, among others, that the leaders of the Custodians are so hands-off. They give the Custodians the tools they need, point them in the direction of jobs, then take their cut of the reward -- with no questions about how it was achieved.

Public Agenda

The Custodians of the Stars are trained and equipped to defend the people of Yophas from those entities that would see them harm -- even when that threat is themselves. More specifically, Custodians are vigilant against influences from Xeccamund, Iduran, and Ix'akroth; however, because each squad of Custodians is so independent, the methods and ideals of each squad can vary greatly.
It is because of this variation that the Custodians have earned a bad reputation in some places. After all, a hundred saved villages can be overshadowed by one being put to the torch on account of suspected fiendish influence, even if that squad was acting out of line.

Assets

The Custodians of the Stars have accrued a fleet of about a dozen Ipacian Navigators of varying sizes, and funds/equips about a hundred squads of Custodians, which themselves range from 2-5 people.
