Call of the Worldshaper Prose in Emaxus | World Anvil
Emaxus is currently undergoing a large entry into a new Age (and a large revision of the current Age). Consider this an active construction zone: things are moving around, getting changed, and the world's being reorganized. Apologies for the inconvenience!

Call of the Worldshaper

"At best, it is heretical. At worst, it is a dark and vile apocrypha. To regale what has so clearly happened while noting so much that has not... It is not to be trusted."

When champions walk the world once more,   When the ancient blood is unleashed again,   When the great ones rise and rage,   Look then to the future,   For the Worldshaper is not long to save.
When Emaxus is soaked in the blood of the broods,   When brother and sister are reunited by empire,   When the new guard rises to claim what is old,   Look then to tomorrow,   For the Worldshaper stirs in the darkness.
When she looks to the old lands for new glory,   When he claims what he does not know for what he cannot have,   When the old enemies beckon to the deep,   Look then to the darkness,   For the Worldshaper will bring the light.
When the old fertilizes the growth of the new,   When a power unbidden rises unstoppable,   When the blooded rise, one to five,   Look then to your soul,   For it is darkest before the dawn.
When wars echo against ancient walls,   When the fifth rises and the first falls,   When the night's veil peels away and the light calls,   Look then to the Worldshaper,   For they have come and you have been saved.

First discovered in the late 6th century AR, the Call of the Worldshaper is a poem inscribed in the book, Musings on a New World. This book is believed to have been written before the Reckoning, having been found in an ancient, Drumian ruin.   The book is notable---and deemed dangerous---on account of holding numerous poems which detail events that can only be described as frighteningly close to reality. Poems harken towards future events bearing shocking similarities to the Fragmented War, the Heliestheos Crisis, and the War of the Greatwyrms. In fact, the prophecy many oracles received before the Heliestheos Crisis warning about the War of the Greatwyrms is inscribed in Musings.   Call of the Worldshaper is one such prophetic poem, but what it prophesizes is yet unknown, as it has not yet come to pass. It is, however, treated with great caution by the scholars and Lythaelosian followers who know of Musing, as Call seems to regale many events covered in other poems, while also talking about events yet to come.
