Xzon

Berkel Xzon Limbah (Xzon) is a land of savagery: wild beasts, difficult terrain, and terrible roaming bands of Xzonic warlords. These warlords, often called Competitors, earned their titles through an annual competition held in Xzon known as the Unforgiving. New areas to be controlled by Competitors could be carved out by the Champion at will. Many of the strongest Competitor and the bands of followers that competed and travelled with them, are half-orcs and tieflings, or at least that is what was reported by those few Venaton and slaves that escaped Xzon, and by the people of southern Phesunlay who had been raided by Xzonic bands in the past.

The People of Xzon

Very few people would ever claim they were from Xzon, even if they were, largely because very few people make it out of Xzon and are accepted into the rest of society. Xzon is full of slavers and war lords, and they are more likely to capture an outsider than they are to leave Xzon. Xzon is a hostile, violent land that pretends to obey its own kind of civility, but there is nothing civil about gaining power only through murder, assault, and combat. Many of those born in Xzon are born into service or combat, and they see outsiders only as a way to get out, or else someone else to drag in. Those from Xzon tend to have tanned/brown skin and dark brown hair, and they are usually quite scarred. Some people from Xzon are known to modify their bodies to make them better warriors, or to make themselves more menacing.

Indigenous Peoples

Little is known about the Dambaung, though much is rumoured. The Dambaung were said to have build great villages of ironwood, with glass made of precious gems. The fall of Dambaung was said to have occurred around the time that Phesunlay was founded, with many of the remaining records about Dambaung only found in the King's Royal Library. How Dambaung fell has not been recorded, though the current spate of warlords ravaging Xzon is said to point to one powerful Dambaung taking power and society collapsing for some reason thereafter. Any villages that may have remained have likely long since been pillaged by Xzonian warlords.

Specific Places

The Feral Ford
The Feral Ford was an especially strong spot, given that it was the delta junction of the Bear, the Wolf, and the Hawk Rivers (all fed from the Ethon Basin, a huge lake). The Competitor of this spot was often well favoured by the Champion and had coin to spare.
