Xzonic Competitor

Xzonic Competitors earned their titles through an annual competition held in Xzon known as the Unforgiving. The Unforgiving consisted of many trials of strength, cunning, and savagery, and when a Competitor died then a new spot was opened for someone to win at the Unforgiving (there was always at least one replacement needed). The Competitors themselves then all competed in the Punishing, a harder test that involved more sophisticated challenges, and the “winner” of the Punishing then became the Champion of Xzon (the first test of the Punishing was adjudicated by the current Champion and then the rest by those eliminated). Any free person in Xzon could enter the Unforgiving, at their own peril. New areas to be controlled by Competitors could be carved out by the Champion at will.
