Eltrain

The Eltrain family is one of the most powerful families in Endref, largely controlling the established trades and guilds throughout Endref. The Eltrain family owned or had shares in over half the buildings in the Port of Lauthor and The Way Between, and they even had minor shares in some houses owned by the Whalef and Sandrogg families.
The Eltrain family had two major branches and a few cadet branches throughout Endref, including an established cadet branch in Konard and Daendar. The heads of the two main brances were Alu and Moonwil, a father and daughter who were close, but remained at odds over how the family should be managed. Of the cadet branches, there were three larger families: the Beltrains, headed by Alu's uncle, Pean; the Trainels, headed by Alu's son Hown; and the Letrains, headed by Alu's ex-wife, Miw.
The Eltrain family were largely renowned for their silver-tongues and for their wile and deception. However, many also believed that these purported traits were false and that those who had lost in business to the Eltrain family treated them too harshly.
