Omunth The Gray

Omunth the Gray

A mysterious wizard from the Telhoken area, or so they say, responsible for many happenings across Ukrenil, including trying to recondition a handful of chromatic dragons, and brokering a deal with a sect of fae to help a splinter group of gnolls find a more peaceful way of life.

Chromatic Rehabilitation

In a time before the Shau-borean Order took down the majority of dragonkind, Omunth, with an army of assistants- mostly kobolds- spread across Ukrenil, stealing eggs from at least one of each chromatic dragon type. Many of the kobolds fell in the attempts, though, and the dragons that were born often received names honoring the sacrifices.
It is unknown how many dragons still remain from the rehabilitation efforts, as the Dragon Purge decimated the population of dragon-kind across the land.
Posthumously, Omunth's targeting of the chromatics alone was brought into question, as he surely could have proven much more by also choosing to try and 'neutralize' the purportedly innate 'goodness' of metallic dragons.

Fae Dealing

Shunning the violent ways of the council of chieftains back in Grimhook, the leader of the clan that would in time be known as Redharvest, took some loyalists and headed westward, sitting on the rim of the Grimhook territory, where they set up homes within a lush valley. It wasn't long into their settling that a mysterious figure approached them, flanked by these tiny, winged humanoids, to speak with the leader of the clan. In this secretive meeting, the creatures- fae, as would be revealed in time- agreed to teach the Redharvest people the ways of cultivation, and living in harmony with the land. It's doubtless that they imparted some impulsiveness in the splintered gnolls as well, but, historians debate on that.

Legacy

The Drelzith family, long-standing Archmages of Telhoken, commissioned an elaborate tapestry to memorialize the great wizard's deeds, and the completed work sits, to this day in the Archmage's office.
In addition to memorial via tapestry, there exists a number of stone archways that are often attributed to Omunth's practices, though to date, these archways haven't been adequately studied, and therefore, their true purposes are poorly understood.

Munthir Arches

Strange stone archways found scattered across the world of Elmaloris, bearing Omunth's signature rune-crafted sigils surrounding a strange, fossil-like base. No one, to date, has figured out how to activate or do anything with the archways, though some older scrollwork in the Telhoken archives show sketches of the arches with a kind of swirling mass at the center.
