Personal history

Having been born as a late-hatcher he had a rough childhood and was often worried over if he'd survive. But latter in life it was discovered that in spite of his slightly weaker nature he was more intelligent than most yinglets... At least in some areas.
He grew up in a small, newly formed enclave in the thickly forested areas of Valsalia, a place with plentiful plant and insect life that well suited the yinglets there.
He was never as enamored with the simple things other yinglets were. While other children where chasing and eating bugs, he was often busy looking at the tools and inventions of the clan and passers by.
His skills shined through one day in particular when he managed to invent a new spring trap using green twigs as the springs. He set this wooden bear trap like  device up around a plant that drew droves of moths and butterflies to it and affixed a net to the jaws. When he pulled a string made of braided grass fiber, it snapped shut and net him and his other younglets a veritable feast of tasty plump moths to munch on.
Seeing his aptitude he was taken in by several of the Matriarchs, but never really found his niche. Not particularly skilled as a hunter in spite of making his traps. Not quite a scavenger or gatherer, as he often got distracted and rather than collecting materials spent time making things with them.
He was in fact on his way into the human town of Vinaebris to take up learning from the humans on the way of devices and instruments. To this end, he'd taken to traveling with a convoy from his enclave and was escorting a matriarch and 2 patriarchs of his clan who where traveling there in order to establish trade and offer services.
It was in the little town that he'd found a small sack on the ground, and curious yinglet nature had taken over. In this highly ornate sack, he found a small ring that started his new journey. One he never would have imagined.

Genius! Well almost. More like idiot savant. We'll go with that. Master of mechanical apparatuses, and able to make or break just about any non-magical item. Fizzit is especially adept at traps, and some alchemy.
