Bizhena
Early in recorded history, the goddess of fertility took on the shape of a catfolk and mingled with the mortals. The proud reputation of the pantheon in general was in jeopardy, according to at least them, and so they conspired to capture and imprison the goddess in an unspecified plane, her place among them being stricken down and her teachings becoming apocryphal.
For eons thereafter, she remained, locked away, biding her time. Long since forgotten to both mortals and her former compatriots, she broke free of her binds and carefully, quietly descended from her prison to live among the mortals, giving the land and people both a blessing of abundance and prosperity. And so, in short order, and right under her peers' noses, she regained her following, and rebuilt her power.
