Forest of Nylar

The Forest of Nylar entirely covers the island that bears the same name and is a sacred location to the Elves of Maertheryan. Nylar hosts some of the largest and oldest trees in Ellios, scholars say there are trees in Nylar over 5000 years old.
Sailors navigating the waters around Nylar report no sign of life on the shore, no buildings, people, boats, nothing. Questions about who lives on the island are met with silence, they have been stories that some visitors to the Elven kingdom asking too many questions about Nylar have been imprisoned, or even executed.
It is forbidden for any outsider to set foot on its shores, even Elves must seek permission from the Council of Ilfenore
