Bay of Stones

The Bay of Stones is a secluded inlet near the hamlet of Stonehaven so called because of the cluster of rocky islands that feature prominently in its waters.
No one knows entirely how the Stones were formed, local legend attributes this to a dragon known only as the Dragon of the Stones. The stones could equally have arisen because of the makeup of the foreshore and seabed which is littered with like sized stones, slightly bigger than a human fist. The islands themselves are traditionally used by the House of Aelnar as the burial location for members of its community and those who have died in its care.
The bay is rich in fish and occasionally fishing boats visit from Fishtown
