Dragon of the Stones

The Dragon of the Stones is a local legend from the area surrounding Fishtown and more recently the community at Stonehaven. It purports to explain why the Bay of Stones is so named.
According to legend the Dragon of the Stones was a great winged dragon from before Great Cleansing of Ellios that lived in and terrorised the surrounding area in what is now northern Nomar . It was supposedly killed by a hero known only as The Great Slayer who defeated it in single combat with his spear Bloodletter. As the dragon thrashed its last dying breath it flew high into the sky vomiting great spouts of blood which fell into the bay and solidified forming the many red stones and red rocky islands.
