Doryn, Guardian of Death
Doryn is the deity that rules over death. When a souls dies and wants to pass to the afterlife on it is Doryn that decides where the soul shall be send. Souls that have yet to be judged all appear to wander outside his place of rule.
Appearance
Appearing as a large humanoid man with a pale skin and a bald head. Even with the pale skin, he appears healthy but just sorely lacks sun. His eyes are pitch black without any iris. He wears a black well fitted black robe with a silver lining. He carries a large tome that supposedly contains the names of all dead beings that have received his judgement.
Demeanor
Doryn is described as a very patient individual. He is also very serious and thorough about his task of judging the dead. It is said that he does not take kindly to any soul that attempts to sneak by.
Home
Doryn lives on his own plane of Enoxis. He lives in a large mansion on top of a hill. The stairs up to his residence are normally lined by those that await his judgement. The area surrounding his mansion is one large refugee camp, inhibited by the souls that have not yet been judged. The mansion itself seems beatifully kept and lacks any kind of gaudy decorations or symbolism. It is build from a combination of stacked grey brick and stone with a tiled roof. The whole building has an air of practicality.
Symbolism
The symbol representing Doryn is often an open tome with gravestone on both visible pages. One gravestone is upright and the other is upside down. The gravestone representing that Doryn decides wether you go to the positive or negative outer planes.
