Enoxis

Enoxis is a plane that acts as a barrier between the inner and outer planes. When a soul dies on the inner planes, it is send to Enoxis where it will be judged by Doryn, Guardian of Death. Some souls will try their hardest to avoid judgement for fear they might end up in a far worse place, while others fall in line, peacefully awaiting judgement.

Biome description

Enoxis is a harsh and barren land. with little vegetation. The only "plantlife" which can be found are dead bushes and trees. The lands, hills and what could be considered mountains are covered with a gray dirt soil, giving the land a very bland appearance. There are no oceans on Enoxis, only lakes.

The lakes found on Enoxis can be very treacherous for newcomers to the realm. Some are filled with "water" and some are filled with "thirstwater". Those who drink from a lake filled with regular water gain no satisfaction form it. It tastes like nothing and merely quenches the feeling of thirst. The unfortunate souls that drink the "thirstwater" suffer a much more grievious fate. Drinking thristwater only increases the feeling of thirst for the individual that drank it. Weaker willed individuals end up in a perpetual cycle where they keep drinking thirstwater until their bodies can't handle it anymore, and they pass out. Once they wake up they'll feel a terrible thirst and wander around aimlessly looking for a real source of water.

Important locations

Enoxis has the following important locations.

Doryn's mansion

The Guardian of Dead has a large mansion sitting on top of a hill which can be seen by all newly arrived souls. Although bleak in appearance like the rest of Enoxis the mansion serves as a beacon calling the newly dead souls.

The Death Camps

Surrounding the hill on which Doryn's mansion in build are large flat lands. On these lands several camps have been build, originally founded by the souls that did not want to receive their judgement. These camps have grown quite large but have very little to offer but a sense of companionship. Stripped from most of their power most souls inhabiting these camps do very little else than ponder their former lives.

Metaphysics

Enoxis is a special place in the multiverse and thus special rules apply.

Day-Night cycle

Enoxis has no day night cycle. The time of day should always be considered just after sunset, slighly dark but not dark enought that one could hope to hide in the darkness alone. A faint white light always illuminates the bland soil of Enoxis.

Spellcasting

Spellcasting in Enoxis is the same as in the material plane for all visitors that are alive. The dead residing on Enoxis are stripped from most of their arcane power. Divine spellcasters cannot reach their God unless they would be favored exceptionally by their respective god.

Emotions

All emotions on Enoxis are dulled. The longer one resides on Enoxis the more apathic one becomes, incapable of feeling anything for oneself or someone else.
