Defences

The City sits atop a mountain, surrounded by a 200 foot Steel Willow Wall which has never been penetrated. The mountain-city is only approachable by armies from on side as the rest of the is protected by the Estmere - the large bay to its West. The Estmere's only entrance is the Griffin's Gate, A natural break between the bay and the ocean.

Industry & Trade

Seate is far more industrialized than it was fifty years prior. Before then its only industrial sector was made up of a handful of family owned businesses, but since the development of deep water sailing ships (Allowing Traders to navigate the sea north of Longreech and sail right into the Estmere) a new Trade sector has begun to spring up in the cities dockyard district as outside influence begins to settle in the capital.

Guilds and Factions

Within the capital there is only one Guild that is native to The Empire which is the Lodge of the Willow Shepards: A close nit group of families that guard the secrets of cultivating the Steel Willow Trees as well as those who know of how to work the wood.
Guilds from other nations have begun to establish branches within the Empires Capital and spread its influence across the borders.
As for factions, The Church of The-King-who-never-was is often at odds with the town. Being an independent nation within the city with its own military breeds tension.

History

Seate wasn't always a capital. Before the time of the Empire, Seate was a holy sight which gave its name to the Petty Kingdom of the Local area. The only building that once stood there was a small monastery made of Steel Willow. When the war against the Elves ended and the Empire was born, Godric I 'Willowwall' declared Seate to be the location of the Empire's new capital as a symbol of their succession to the hero.
It was Godric I who built the 200ft Wall around the mountain and the keep on the peek across the from the monastery. Over the years it has grown, from castle, to bustling city, to the metropolis it is today.

Architecture

The architecture consist of a combination of Steel Willow and Whitewashed stone in the traditional Albaen style.

Geography

Seate itself gets its name from the twin peaked mountain it sits on, which is said to be the location that the King-who-never-was ascended in that religion's teachings

Natural Resources

Its main natural resource is Steel Willow. A magical tree thats wood is harder than tempered steel.
