Shellway

The Shellway is a government building in the city of Seaha in the Kingdom of Mythfall. The main purpose of the building is to have a place to facilitate a central location for those seeking temporary or for permanent citizenship of the Kingdom. In this port city of Seaha you need papers to enter, and those here on work or vacation must come to this building to receive their Travel documents. Once I receive these documents they are allowed to travel anywhere inside the entire Kingdom. For those wishing to become full citizens of the Kingdom, they can also submit paperwork and received their documents of citizenship here as well.

For those wishing to hunt in the Kingdom of Mythfall or to do any other missions provided by its citizens, they must receive an adventurers Guild membership. while in this building you will need to pr provide proof of your past deeds to obtain paperwork.

Purpose / Function

It is here to register all new people to the kingdom of Mythfalls . With citizenship, temporary citizenship, or a seasonal license to be here for work. They also take care of Travelers and get them the proper forms to either visit this Kingdom or get them through the kingdom to their next destination.

Design

When you approach it from the water side it appears flat in nature, but as you round the building the curves of the building take shape and you realize the shape of the shell of a turtle. The building sets on the water and off the building are two large docks that are the main hub of the port of the city of Serha. these docs allow multiple ships to be docked at a time. Farther down the coast you will find the merchant docks for the local fishermen and merchant ships. But all newcomers must come to this building before they're allowed to enter the city properly.

Sensory & Appearance

Due to the new ceiling, the building is full of light natural light from above and from all the torches glowing on its walls. All signs are in common leading you to the correct location, but you will need to go. Music filled the halls as there are minstrels’ playing in the main atrium. lines are usually not that long unless you come during the busy season but even during that time of year workers strive to make sure no one feels stressed in the process.

Alterations

The main alteration of this building occurred when the artist Crete Melvin decided to upgrade the ceiling to a new type of glass that was recently created. The ceiling was recreated with hexagon-shaped glass pieces and fastened together to look like a beautiful shallow sea turtle. Prior to this alteration the ceiling was a similar shape but was made out of simple building materials of stone and wood.

Defenses

There are many defenses on this building as it is the main government building. Town guards are stationed on the outside and the inside of this building. the guards usually only must deal with the occasional Marchant trying to smuggle in items that are on the prohibited list or trying to bribe a guard to allow him to bring more without paying all of his taxes. Stationed here are also mages that helped protect and keep order by using their magics to can you create a protective barrier around the building. As this building is directly on the water Serpentine boats also stay and patrol the waters reporting any suspicious activity to the town guards immediately.

Tourism

The City of Seaha is a very busy town with many tourists coming to the city daily. Some here come here for vacation and others travel here as one stop on their journey to the capital of the Kingdom. Many adventurers and hunters come to the city as well as this is a good starting point for anyone wishing to make a name for themselves. The building is a marvel of technology in creation in many people who love architecture do you travel here to see some of Crete Melvin's greatest work.
