Among those dieties there will be those who are eager to support your journey, while others might choose to your bless you with setbacks. Consider carefully the deities you choose to revere. Elema is a universe in which magic and technology coexist so seamlessly that they are almost indistinguishable. In this dimension, science is defined as everything outside of a living being that has an effect, whereas magic is the energy used by living creatures to shape their goals. This unique confluence of technology and magic has fueled enormous invention across Elema, resulting in a culture where fanciful things are as prevalent as the elements.

Elema's was created and supported by the Sacred Divine Eight, a pantheon of gods and goddesses who rule over fire, water, earth, air, spirit, will, light, and darkness. Though they began as elemental deities, their identities altered over time due to the influence of their followers and material avatars. These avatars act as Elema extensions of the deities, increasing their presence and power.

As the deities evolved, they diverged, resulting in darker reflections of themselves. Eight new deities appeared, less powerful than their predecessors but nevertheless fierce and deadly. These gods and goddesses have their own aims and wills, and they actively shape Elema's universe. Frequently contradicting their original counterparts, they bring chaos, ruin, lunacy, and a peculiar flavor of disturbance throughout the mortal realm. This dualism has led to the view that the ancient deities are Sacred, while the newer ones are corrupted versions. All sixteen—both sacred and corrupted—continue to shape and govern Elema from a distance, weaving supernatural intrigue into mortals' lives.

Elema is home to fifteen intelligent species, who coexist with a diverse range of creatures, predators, and magical vegetation. Every species has adapted to the pervasive presence of magic, creating civilizations and technologies that are in tune with the forces surrounding them. Every animal, plant, and beast has some level of magical abilities. Animals normally have a single natural feature, whereas magical beasts and monsters can possess a variety of powers or resistances, making them either threats or allies to the Elema people.

Magical plants are also essential to Elema's way of life, serving as ingredients for everything from potions and poison to medicine and sustenance. These plants are an important element of both everyday life and spiritual rites. With this world full of magic and wonder it is similar to other fantasy world but has evolved in so many other ways.
