The weapon produced a little amount of life energy with each successful hit, increasing the wielder's vitality and providing minor resistance to necromantic magic and abilities. With a particularly forceful stroke, the halberd might unleash a surge of positive energy. This radiant surge inflicts additional damage on undead, sometimes healing the wielding while scorching the target.
In addition to its melee skills, the Sanguine Thresher has a unique enchantment: up to five times each day, the wielder can conjure a mithrial spike, launching it as a stake-like spike from the halberd's point. Special Ability
Lifesurge- The wielder gains a +2 bonus on all saving throws against necromantic effects, including ability drain, energy drain, and other undead powers.
- Whenever the wielder receives temporary hit points from any source, they gain +2 additional temporary hit points, as long as the weapon is held.
- The weapon's critical threat range is doubled against undead (e.g. becomes 19–20/x3). This does not stack with keen or Improved Critical.
- When a critical hit is confirmed against an undead, the weapon releases 2d8 positive energy. The wielder can choose to: Deal all energy as damage to the undead, or Absorb half of the energy as healing (rounded down), with the rest dissipated.
- As a standard action, the wielder can cause a magical silver spike to extend and launch from the halberd’s tip, targeting an enemy with a ranged touch attack (range increment 30 ft.).
- Damage: 2d8 piercing
- Special: If the spike strikes a vampire, it functions as a wooden stake for the purpose of staking the creature through the heart, bypassing DR if required.
