Emperor of Death has the longest and most ancient Lich history. He annihilated the original Elvin Kingdom and took it as his own. Because of his ability to command and organize the undead. He has held onto his territory for over several millennia. As a result, this location has earned the moniker "City of Dead" Over the last millennium, no one has seen or made it to the Emperor. That doesn't change the fact that regardless of how many adventurers or countries try to clear it out. The undead continue to rise in the same numbers, if not more. As a result, the people are terrified, and they know that the Emperor is still king of this castle.
Physical Description
Special abilities
He is a powerful wizard who masters the school of enchantment, aberration, destruction, and later in life and unlife the school of necromancy and restoration. Also, he is a Lich, which makes him nearly impossible to kill and allows him to live until he is slain.
His most notable ability is that he has built an army of undead that is uncountable. This army is made up of a variety of sentient species, monsters, and animals. This army has your standard zombies and skeletons walking about. There are also zombified squirrels, rats, and other small creatures to be concerned about. This army includes a Minotaur, Chimeras, and a Dragon, all of which are undead. This is the biggest and most diverse army of undead in the world
He is also familiar with a number of banned rituals and spells. He has the forbidden text from both the royal chamber and the Hall of Illumination. Elf is one of the longest-living creatures and had some of the best record-keeping skills at the time. The analysis and information left behind after the evacuation are all his, and he's had Millenniums of time to go through them.
He is also a master of curses, as evidenced by the large number of persons who have entered the city of the dead and discovered items or objects. It has a high probability of being cursed. To simple ones that are easily removed and cause minimal annoyance. To ones that should never have been invented, you would wish to die for the amount of misery and suffering you will endure if you are unlucky and receive one of these curses. Some claim he simply curses an item and then places it on a random undead creator in the nearby area.

Before he was crowned Emperor of Death. Before he was even a lich. Lego Kaname, a prideful elf who worked at the Hall of Illumination in the kingdom of Dachigh Ghilic. Where he was apart and learned secrets of the world that were too precious or too dangerous to be shared or used in the world so that it did not burn up. This technically contradicted their beliefs because they would all serve the God Hikira. Which is founded on the principles of seeking and revealing truth.
His purpose at his job was to learn about everything contained in the Hall of Illumination. He learned about ancient history and its secrets. He'd need to know this in case history repeats itself or something from that history reappears. They were also to design counters to possible historical events.
He would learn about magic and rituals that the world is not ready for or that are too dangerous for anyone to use. He would be required to study the counterspells or attempting to make one. Just in case someone else discovered the information or produced their own variant. At the very least, we wouldn't have to start over every time one of these awful spells was cast.
The Hall also contains deadly and cursed goods. He'd have to study them and figure out how they function. In case someone else created something similar. with the cursed items trying to figure out how to break the cursed wouldn't be a blight on the world? This is the job he desired but later regretted.

His biggest accomplishment was capturing and scything the Grim Reaper . He actually did this before becoming Lich. He transformed into a lich in order to wield the scythe. He desired the Reaper's power to resurrect his wife and unborn child.
He performed the divine eye technique to capture a Grim Reaper. It was only used on one eye so that he would only lose sight in one eye. He murdered someone in cold blood merely to summon a Reaper. Then he performed some of the Hall of Illumination's banned rituals. To apprehend the Grim Reaper and bind it to this plain. Then he took up the scythe after capturing the Grim Reaper, and then he began to experience terrible pain as if he was burning from the inside out and couldn't even maintain his breath. Even after he dropped it, he was still in pain. He eventually discovered that the curse has an effect on both the individual's soul and the body. He decided to become a Lich in order to get around the cruse and use the side.

Failures & Embarrassments
After several years, he had learned the Scythe's powers and how they affected his magical body and undead form. It was time for him to carry out the ceremony that had led him here. All that is known about what happened is that he attempted multiple rituals to resurrect his wife and unborn kid. They all failed, and there are whispers and theories that he may have accidentally tortured or killed their souls. Nobody knows what happened except that he did get the results he desired for his long-lost love.
Mental Trauma
No one knows how long he let this failure fester and grow until he couldn't take it any longer. He simply blamed society for keeping all the secrets that may have rescued them. What we do know is that he blamed the Kingdom of Dachaigh Ghlic for their death.
There are hints as to when he began, but the records are no longer clear. For two reasons: one, this is from ancient times, and second, who would have guessed robbing tombs and graveyards in tiny towns would be the beginnings of his army? At first, reports stated that entire bodies were stolen from a few graves. It got so terrible that bodies began to vanish from conflict zones, larger grave sites were violated, and more victims vanished every day. There were finally reports of undead picking up dead bodies and transporting them to unknown locations. When they tried to follow them, A mist would come over and they would merely lose sight of them or the tracker would be lost themselves, never to be found.
Following several years of missing persons, grave robberies, and other occurrences involving corpses and the undead not assaulting adventurers. He carried out his plan and led an assault against the Kingdom that had killed his wife and child. He led his zombie army to assault, destroy, and take the Kingdom.
