This road is build for fast traveling between the city of Arcdale and the town of Crow Edge. It well keep up and use for Supply run.

Localized Phenomena

There is a nickname for the road. It called the Welcoming road. It got the nickname from a story that has been told in this area for centuries. It is said that if you travel at night on the road, you might come across a two-story wooden building. The building has bright silver light coming from it, that cuts through the darkness. As you get closer to the building you see that the light is emitted from lanterns that contain the sliver fire. When you walk up to the double front doors you see they are made of dark rosewood with silver script on it. in the common text it reads, "Welcome to the Apple Core".
When you go in you see that the place looks like a very old but well-kept-up hunter lodge. Everyone traveler is greeted by a man with the same description. He is a tall human with light features. His hair is the color of a summer sunset and his piercing eyes the color of emeralds. He is the most gracious of hosts but warns you of his simple rule. It is simply that all guests are required to treat the house with the respect it is due, this also goes for all that work within the house and all other guests. No one has ever been asked to pay for food or lodging. Full meals are provided and cooked especially for the requester. Every dish and beverage is warm and as fresh as can be. the only similarity between plates is that they always come with an apple. This is quite odd as the closest orchard is more than a few week's rides. Once the traveler has eaten their meal they can go up to their room and sleep in the most comfortable bed you have ever slept in.
Every story tells of the odd sensation of waking up at 6:30 in the morning feeling totally refreshed. this is quite odd especially since many travelers mention overindulging on the free ale, and other mention barely coming to bed when the cocks crow and still feel refreshed only moments later. After dressing travelers are shocked to find that the employees of the House are already at their doors ready to send you on your way out of the house. make sure to find the lanterns before you are whisked out the door. if the flame is still silver all is safe but if the flame is mud brown that someone did something rotten and has been taken. Once your feet pass the threshold the house disappears behind you.
There have been travelers that have claimed to find this house a 2nd time. the odd thing is that some previous guests seemed to have not left and are now employees of the house.We are not sure about this claim but I think it best to follow the 1 simple rule if you ever wander into the Apple Core.
