The Expedition Pact

The Expedition pact is an agreement between existing nations to halt warfare activity and redirect the efforts to exploring the newly discovered continent dubbed Berdea - The New World.

Purpose

This document was drafted in response to Gen'Kars fleet of iron ships successfully crossing the shoals and reef barriers. Berdea proved to be too big to explore alone with limited resources and backing from Gyrminia. The politicians in Gyrminia aided in the drafting, summed up as a world wide cease fire agreement, promising a share of the riches and resources of Berdea with those who sign and abide by the agreements.

Document Structure

Clauses

The document is comprised of three major clauses.
The first clause describes the ceasefire between nations. Established bases and aid are permitted to remain, but no new disputes or border clashes are to occur. Active wars are to stop as soon as possible. Time is allotted to allow news to reach the troops as well as negotiations to occur between nations.
The second clause describes the agreement to split the profits, land, and resources.
The third clause describes the consequences of breaking the first clause, forfeiture of claims to resources, and the alliance's response to aid the non-breaking ally.

Caveats

The document provides a two year time frame to cease all military action against each other.

Publication Status

The original document is private access, hidden after the document was signed. Copies are readily available, distributed to each nation and major city.

Legal status

The document is valid in all signing nations, including the Oleos Islands, Gyrminia, and Agaland.
