Nave, Goddess of Nature and Love

Nave by AuthorChase on Heroforge
Nave established the Druidic Order after the construction of Magick Glades. The druids protected and healed the citizens to the best of their abilities. Life Druids strengthened through the art of alchemy when the Humans arrived. However, there were almost no druids left after the second invasion of Magick Glades.

History

Druidic Order by AuthorChase on DrawShield

Nave created the Druidic Order to preserve nature and to train students to protect their home. She created two formations within the order Beast Druids and Life Druids. The ones who chose the Beast Druid as their discipline underwent harsh training, and some lost their lives in their attempts to shape-shift into animals. Nave expressed mourning for the druids who died during training and showed respect for their commitment. Those who chose Life Druid as their discipline trained in both medicine and nature magic. However, many turned to necromancy later in history.   It wasn't until the Humans migrated to Astnyr from Celmani that Life Druids learned alchemy for healing purposes. This was an additional source of magic for them, and the Light Elves within the order became grateful. Nave let any human who wished to learn the art of druidism into her ranks, so they help Magick Glades in its overall preservation. Many outside military forces came forward to provide help when Magick Glades was attacked the first time. The second time there was no help, resulting in Magick Glades's fall. The Druidic Order hoped to regrow their ranks within the new settlement of Savior's Enclave.   The Druidic Order had armor made of wood and iron to protect them from foes and other ailments. Druids within the order had their choice of weapon or relic, a wand or magical staff specialized for their purposes. These weapons helped them concentrate their magic and can help with many rituals. Beast Druids could use these for both animal shape and combat, and Life Druids can use them for healing magic. Though, many Beast Druids preferred the use of short swords. Wands helped with mixing ingredients together for alchemical purposes.

Archdruid

The Archdruid helped Nave with government tasks in Magick Glades. They took care of the administrative work while Nave trained new druids into the order. Sometimes they were the messenger between Magick Glades and other settlements when Nave didn't have the time to do it herself. Nave and the Archdruid worked together to make sure the glade prospered into what it was before the second invasion.

Beast Druid

Beast Druids could transform into an animal shape to fight and protect. Their military power comprised about 5,000 druids before the second invasion of Magick Glades. The most popular animal shapes were bears and panthers.   Beast Druids trained in specific lessons associated with them. First, they chose what animal shape they associated themselves with, which was the easier part. The troublesome part was transforming into animal shape with physical health in mind. Many did not complete this part of the training, as there could be severe consequences if not performed correctly, from injury to death of the trainee.   Second, the successful druids learned what role their animal shape took in strategy and battle. The successful druids learned what role their animal shape took in strategy and battle, and they discovered new ones that continue to be found to this day. There were specific instructors for each type of animal shape, but it was also the responsibility of the trainee to discover information for themselves.   Finally, the trainee had weapon training with conventional weapons. Once they mastered their animal shape, they learned how to fight without their shape. This was mainly with short swords made of steel from the Crafters' Guild. In the past, they would utilize wooden short swords as blunt weapons.

Life Druid

Life Druid by AuthorChase on HeroForge
Life Druids healed patients and used binding nature spells in battle. Their military power comprised 3,000 druids. However, people considered them a dying specialty after both invasions of Magick Glades. Only a few hundred remained in Astnyr.   The trainers instructed Life Druids in the healing arts of nature magic. Fewer casualties occurred with these druids, but some still entrapped themselves with their magic. This entrapment could include being consumed by nature itself, or body parts amputated with no self-control of magic. There were few that made it out of that loss of control alive, but were all honored for their dedication. The training had three stages. These stages were nature magic, hand to hand combat (including with staves), and recently alchemical training.   Nature magic training had both healing and entrapment. Entrapment was when Life Druids trapped the attacker with roots of trees coming from the ground. This was only possible in the forest, but effective within Magick Glades borders.   Healing magic was magic from nature itself, a wave of positive nature magic that treated patients. This gave patients a safer and healthier recovery.   Hand to hand combat training included fist fighting and staff fighting. Fist fighting was the unarmed method of bludgeoning a foe, with staff fighting being armed.   Finally, alchemical training had the Life Druid learn of different herbs and plants that could help heal where nature magic could not. This included various diseases and some decay effects within a patient, but not all.

Necromancers

The Life Druids that became necromancers followed Morana, the Lady of Death. They forsook nature magic and transformed it into a deadly weapon. Healers couldn't fix death magic, which was considered to be some of the only magic. Those afflicted with it had no chance of being saved.
