Alexander Moonfury
Life Druid
Warning: description of gory death in this article.
She thinks I can be too trusting. Maybe she is right, but I cannot forsake anyone in my care. That includes you Eldrinor, don't you ever forget that.
Origins
Not one person in Magick Glades knows where Alexander came from. However, his sickly father brought him there as an infant, bloodied and covered in a blanket. Nave took the boy and his father in, training Alexander the druidic art. Thanks to the Angel's teachings, Alexander became the best Life Druid since Morana's time.Alexander's Upbringing
In Magick Glades, Alexander's father was the one who raised him. His father was sick with an incurable disease for Alexander's entire childhood. Nave and the Archdruid, Eldric, took care of the child when his father couldn't. Alexander found out the Lady of Death caused this sickness in his father. This was when he snuck into a meeting involving his father and Eldric when he was a teenager. From that day forward, the young man vowed to himself to help his father however he could. Alexander studied under Nave to become a Life Druid after this discovery, and graduated in his early 20s. Alexander remembered the proud look on his father's face when he did, holding it forever in his memory. This was when his father taught him basic wizard spells, such as lighting his hand and torches. After graduation, the druid researched all he could about diseases to cure his father. However, time was against the druid in this matter. His Father's Passing
Before Alexander was close to a cure for his father's disease, the human wizard died of it. The process was so fast that Alexander couldn't remember fully what came first. His father's face was decaying before his eyes, along with his hands. His skin melted off of his bones, leaving only the skeleton left for anyone to see. It was a most painful death for the man, screaming until his lungs burst. Alexander, horrified by the experience, took his father's wizarding journal to study. This was where he finally found the cure for the Lady of Death's diseases she wrought, but why did his father never use it? Alexander surmised that one ingredient was never achievable, a strand of hair from the Morana and her spawns. The druid surmised that the Lady of Death was near unstoppable for his father; and there were no spawn of hers on the planet. The Invasion
The Lady of Death struck quick and precise against Magick Glades. No one knew how she could find fault in their defenses, but this left many in need of healing and attack power. Alexander faced the Lady of Death head on, but he failed to kill her. The power of her death druids was too strong, even for the Life Druid. However, Alexander achieved one thing in this battle. He got locks of the Lady's hair, the elusive ingredient his father never could get. (Looks like Morana is getting a re-design) Alexander helped Archdruid Eldric build Savior's Enclave, assisting Eldric with rallying and healing the survivors. The druid cured those that the Lady of Death inflicted with her diseases. This was a step forward in solving the problems of the survivors and the future of the druids.Perks and Flaws
Alexander can be too trusting, even letting people take advantage of his healing services for their own ends. He asks for nothing in return, but the satisfaction that his healing helps the patient. Even for his muscular stature, he is one of the most gentle druids of Magick Glades, but has a hidden ferocity. This ferocity can come from his protectiveness for those he cares about, or even his patients. He trusts Archdruid Eldric with his life, but there may come a time when that comes into question.
