Blood is life, but it is also sacrifice. The Blood Domain is granted by gods of war, conquest, and sacrifice, as well as darker deities who revel in suffering and predation. Some clerics of this domain see blood as the ultimate price—something given in battle, whether freely or forcibly, to fuel greater power. Others view it as a sacred force, binding the body and soul together, and seek to wield it in both combat and ritual.
Clerics of the Blood Domain often serve as battlefield priests, frontline warriors, or enforcers of sacred rites. They may command the life force of others, spill blood in divine tribute, or harness their own vitality to empower their magic. Many fear these clerics, for their mere presence on the battlefield can tip the scales through brutal sacrifice and relentless aggression.

You gain the following spells at the listed cleric levels as domain spells.
War Priest of Blood
1st-Level Cleric (Blood Domain) Feature
Your deity has blessed you with martial prowess, allowing you to spill blood in their name. You gain proficiency with martial weapons and heavy armor.
Additionally, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can choose to take damage equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1). If you do, the attack deals additional Necrotic damage equal to twice the amount of damage you took.
Hemomantic Priest
1st-Level Cleric (Blood Domain) Feature)
All Blood spells are added to your spell list, and you treat them as Cleric spells. Additionally, you ignore the Rare tag of Blood spells.
Channel Divinity: Sanguine Offering
2nd-Level Cleric (Blood Domain) Feature
You can use your Channel Divinity to empower your strikes with a sacrifice of your own vitality. When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can use your Channel Divinity as a bonus action to deal additional necrotic damage equal to three times your cleric level. You also take necrotic damage equal to your cleric level, which cannot be reduced in any way.
Draining Surge
6th-Level Cleric (Blood Domain) Feature)
You have learned to siphon the vitality of others through your divine magic. When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can expend a divine spell slot of 1st level or higher to drain the blood from their wounds and restore your own strength. When you do, deal an additional 1d4 necrotic damage per level of the spell slot, and you regain hit points equal to half the damage you deal with the attack.
Divine Strike
8th-Level Cleric (Blood Domain) Feature
You gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 necrotic damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
Crimson Dominion
17th-Level Cleric (Blood Domain) Feature
Your connection to blood magic is unmatched, allowing you to control the life force of those around you. You gain the following benefits:
- When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you regain hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1) + your cleric level.
- When a creature within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to take that damage instead. The damage bypasses resistance and immunity but cannot be reduced.
