Ssythiskar
Description
Ssythiskar is an immense, coiled monstrosity, his serpentine body stretching for miles within the depths of his abyssal lair. His scales are a deep, blackish-red, each one outlined in a sickly green glow. His head is adorned with a crown of backward-curving, ivory horns. His eyes glow with an eerie crimson light. His left eye is pitch black, while his right eye is missing completely, being only an empty socket bearing the red light. In many depictions, Ssythiskar is shown wrapped around a ruined temple, his coils crushing civilization beneath him. His image is often carved into sacred stones, with his maw devouring the sun.Personality
Ssythiskar is not merely a god of destruction—he is a god of inevitable destruction, the slow unraveling of order through careful planning, manipulation, and subterfuge. He teaches that the most devastating blows are not the ones struck in battle, but those delivered in the shadows, where the enemy does not even realize they have already lost. His will is not one of reckless carnage but of calculated ruin. The Sacred Way of Ssythiskar dictates that power is best wielded subtly. Direct conflict is a failure of foresight; true power lies in the whisper that turns brother against brother, in the unseen poison that fells kings, and in the carefully orchestrated downfall of civilizations. Open war is wasteful when a city’s rulers can be manipulated into destroying themselves. His followers must know their foes, think ahead, and plan forward, ensuring that each move is deliberate and each strike inescapable. Ssythiskar himself is the grand schemer, the eternal predator who waits for the perfect moment to strike. He values patience over impulse, deception over confrontation, and inevitability over uncertainty. He rewards those who embrace his teachings with insight, the ability to see further than their enemies and to pull the strings that guide them toward their own demise. Those who act rashly, wasting his gifts in displays of mindless violence, are cast aside—sometimes literally, fed to his temples as sacrifices.Abilities

Realm
Ssythiskar’s domain, The Crimson Maw, is a massive, lightless abyss where rivers of blood replace water, and the ground pulses as if alive. Towers of bone and stone rise like fangs from the abyss, each one built upon the corpses of countless sacrifices. Those who fall into his realm are doomed to an eternity of torment, either as mindless husks endlessly rebuilding his temples or as prey to the horrors that lurk within his domain. This realm takes up the 74th layer of The PitRelationships
Enemies and Allies
Ssythiskar is reviled by many divine beings, particularly gods of order, civilization, and knowledge. He has a special enmity with deities of light and fire, for they threaten to expose his deception and weaken his creeping influence. His only true allies are demon lords and gods of destruction, though even among them, he is feared. He has been known to consume his own allies when it suits his plans, and many demonic entities tread carefully when dealing with him. He is known to be neutral toward Krivun, but occasionally makes short-term alliances due to Krivun being able to make use of the beings that fail Ssythiskar's tests, raising their corpses as undead to wreak havoc in the surrounding area.Worshipers
