Magical Safety Act

In accordance with the Magical Safety Act, you are being detained under the Loyalists, for your crime of theft - Loyalist member arresting a magical user

I knew I didn't steal anything, they knew I didn't steal anything but my neighbor knew two things; that I was a registered magic user, and that I was going to but her out of business next year if she couldn't find a way around my ability allowing me to mend cloth best than she ever could. I could see her in her widow as they took me out to a covered cart, the smirk on her face gave me the confirmation I need to know who accused me.

Purpose

The purpose of the Magical Safety Act was to put laws in place to register magic users, deal with crimes committed by magic users, and track their population growth.

Document Structure

Clauses

The document is split into ____sections. The first outlines the use of the Magical Ability Register and the punishments for not registering under this new law. The second outlines the basis of enforcing laws broken by magic users or with the use of abilities. The third outlines the ability for King's Sheriffs and now the Temple Loyalists to request adaptions for their area of responsibility in order to account for increased population or crime.

Publication Status

Every major town has a copy in their sheriff's building. Calls to register in order to comply were posted to every notice board and every settlement in Atherus within a two year period in which it was not punishable to be unregistered.

This document is valid in the entire Kingdom of Atherus.

Historical Details

Legacy

Theocritus using this act and getting amendments to it, recently created the Loyalist, who under this act have full permission to detain and imprison magical users who break the law. Which could be any law, and with often little to no proof.
