Ukkan's Sword

From the sun came a striking power, a sword glowing as day shone anew. Striking forward, the blade made of molten light is Ukkan's Sword, said to be the slayer of the greatest Okkenan to ever live.
The sun peered out from beyond the horizon, a golden light gleaming along the sword's blade. Ukkan stood solemnly, collecting his own power as the wielder of the sword leveled the blade forwards. Leaping from the wielder's hand, the blade spun through the air.   The winds from the seas lifted as the light cloud cover gave way. A wave of golden light blasting through the air as the titan fell to the ground.

Overview

The term "Ukkan's Sword" has been related to a collection of myths surrounding the existence of the blade that was used to slay Ukkan. The myths are mainly based on historical records of Loque Rejima, the Oath Born who killed Ukkan, and his sword. Other aspects of the myths come from supposed sightings in the mountains on Ukkan Isle and the Seeking Stance of Oathseekers.

Awesome work, once again. Legendary weapons are always good. It almost has an urban legend quality with young people daring each other to venture to the mountain. of course the various species pose a legitimate dangers, as it should lol. Well done!

Looks like I stopped replying to every comment for a minute there. Thanks so much. I think I'll add reading your articles to my to-do for tomorrow. I keep forgetting that I have things to do.   This is where I came up with the idea for my next article, so that was fun. The whole legend concept was fun to use, especially considering the fact that a manuscript I released(it's on the homepage if you'd like to check it out -- no pressure) was a key influence to the legend.

Great stuff Jac :D   Some mention of what an Okkenan is in the side panel or somewhere could be good, give us some idea of how impressive it is to slay one?   Good luck with summer camp, Jac :D

Either you mentioned the Okkenan in two comments or I'm just forgetting something. It's going to be an important post-summer camp article. For the record, their height ranges from 5 meters to 20,000 meters as well as having extremely powerful magic. So it's very impressive, considering the given Okkenan was taller than the clouds(20,000 meters, roughly).
