Si'indra
The Si’indra are an aquatic semi-humanoid species with average to very high intelligence. They are carnivorous, consuming other aquatic creatures for sustenance. Their average lifespan is between 45-70 years, and their average length/height ranges from 7-9 feet. Their territory covers Anta Kitski (the Kitski Islands) and their surrounding waters in Ibra Sao.
The Si’indra people are extremely territorial and have a strong military presence, seeing as their culture is entirely devoted to the guardianship of Anta Kitski. They are extremely religious, worshipping Vajakra, the entity they believe built and left behind the numerous strange and highly advanced technological artefacts found on and around Anta Kitski. As such, they have a heavily enforced theocratic government, with religious law prevailing above all else.
The Si’indra utilise stonemasonry for architecture and crafting, and metalworking primarily for weapons production. Underwater mining sites on the Ibra Sao floor extract ore that is then transported to the dangerous Tibrin Isi forges, where hydrothermal vents blast hot enough to work metal underwater. Only the Si’indra who have been through gruelling, rigorous training and blessed rites can survive the harsh conditions of the smithy, working in the name of the Si’indran army. The army is divided into three branches: the Biki'a (the Eyes), the Inki'a (the Feet), and the Iski'a (the Hands). The Biki’a enforce the law of Vajakra among Si’indran society, acting as police. The Inki’a make up the infantry of the army, with duties ranging from border guard to armed expeditions. The Iski’a are an intelligence agency above the Biki’a and the Inki’a, heading investigations into potential rebel groups and dissenters, possible or rumoured locations of new artefacts, and they handle all state secrets. The Iski’a also lead ongoing research into the Kitski artefacts along with Si’indran scholars in attempts to discover the purpose of these strange devices and determine their possible utilisation in their own culture. The Si’indra have an oral and written language called Si'indragi.
