Suzerainty
The Suzerainty is the name given to the area located in the center of the Auskerian Empire. It is where the Royal Family lives, as well as, the Imperial Senate, Lyndion Academy of the Arcane, and where the Imperial Army makes its home.
Overview
The Suzerainty is surrounded by an area called the Sacred Land, which is further bordered by the following Duchies.- Vespar to the east
- Shinra to the west
- Kasser to the north
- Taepotor to the south
Geography
The Suzerainty is located on a large lake that is almost 560 feet deep, the lake has an artifical island where the royal city and the academy are found. The land surrounding the lake is covered on one side by trees and another by plains.
Localized Phenomena
The Suzerainty has to deal with an effect known as Lake-effect snow which occurrs during the winter months.
Climate
Generally the climate of the Suzerainty is mild throughout most of the year up until the winter months when temperatures have a tendency to drop below freezing, often causing the lake that surrounds the royal city to freeze. Blizzards are quite fierce during this time of the year,
Fauna & Flora
Most of the fauna is located within the lake, there are seventeen different species of fish that reside in the water, several of which are toxic.
Tourism
Tourism is commonplace throughout most of the year oweing to the fact that the Suzerainty is the center of the Kingdom, but tourism goes up during the winter months when the lake freezes over. Most tourists make their home in the various inn's and hotels that dot the outside of the royal city.
