Introduction to the Encyclopedia

Edge Spire is a setting for 5e Dungeons and Dragons campaign, the setting is seeped in folk lore and mythology. The main lore is based in Celtic, Roman Catholic, and wizards of the costs 3.5 fey. Much of the land is being created as the players venture though it and find or explore locations.

While many of the mythology is based in modern folklore many liberties will be taken to ensure that the world seems fresh and new. Some locations, items, plants etc. are based off the real world such as devil strand fruit being based off devil claws.

The setting is meant to be high magic and seem rather fantastical in nature. Like the fey wild I want their to feel as if the characters actions, feelings, and intent have a real world effect on what goes on around them and how the world gets shapes. Many locations of note will have in game significance to the players and the map will fill in with locations that are important to them.

Like many fey stories the world is frustratingly beautiful but often rout with danger.
