The Booksmith Emporium

Whereas the nickname "Booksmith" was given as an offensive jab towards the shop's owner, Dworen has long since overcome his outsider status in Dimond. Nowadays the people of the Lower Market fondly call his shop "The Booksmith Emporium". Coming right after the inn The Brass Boar, the Booksmith Emporium is the second grandest business in the district, and is nearly as popular with the locals. While the inn is well loved for its popular meals and fair prices, the things Dworen sells are rare and the prices steep. Nothing the market-people have any need for is sold in Dworen's shop and yet, he is well liked for his kind nature and big heart. As small as the demand for his items are among the commoners, if one finds themselves in need of help, Dworen is always happy to lend it. Often young children of single parents operating market stalls are found roaming his shop or doing odd jobs for him. Keeping them off the streets and away from being recruited into the thieves guilds makes the owner of the Booksmith Emporium popular with the Dimond City Guard as well.   Due to the ire of other scholars, in the beginning Dworen had been prevented from owning a shop in the Upper Market, where the other artefact sellers and magic kleep shop. He had to work hard to bring in customers at the Lower Market, and by now his shop is an insider tip for buyers. These days, the dwarf could easily afford to rent in the Upper District, but the customers flow in so regulalry, that he really has no need to and can enjoy the athmosphere and friendly people in the neighbourhood around him.
