Dwarves of Dol Cadarn

The Dwarves of Dol Cadarn also calles the Children of Cadarn - are named after their stronghold in which they live under the glaciers of the The Morcannaid Massif. During the majority of recorded history the Dwares of Dol Cadarn were the highest of dwarven kingdoms and home to the High King of the Dwarves who rules over the dwarven folk.   However, this is not without merit. The title of High King is earned by building and maintaining the most impressive and properous dwarven stronghold in Echora, which Dol Cadarn has been uncontested for ages.   The Morcannaid Massif is rich in ores and minerals and has allowed the dwarves of Dol Cadarn to prosper and thrive. The stronghold is famous for its metalworks, mines and forges. Legend has it, that it was the Dwarves of Dol Cadarn who have first made and used chain mail. Dol Cadarn is also the primary source for Kyraphane and its dwarves are highly specialized in its treatment.   Dol Cadarn is heavily reliant on trade, importing almost all necessities like grains and other produce and exporting raw materials from the mountain as well as crafts, weapons and armour. Due to a low fertility among the mountain-dwelling dwarves, Dol Cadarn maintains close relations with their kin in Brookhill, whom the have an agreement to take on young dwarves as workers and apprentices in exchange for Building and developping the Brookhill settlements. Many of these dwarves choose to remain in Dol Cadarn. This makes the two ethnicities into close relatives and allies.

Ooo, I like this :3 The thought of a dwarven kingdom under a glacier is a great idea! The naming convention is pretty interesting too. Great job!

Cool article. I wonder if there are any famous or infamous Deep Dwarves and what they've done or forged.
