Introduction:

Hope 2 is a ringed planet in the Hope system. It was the first exoplanet colonized by the Illithid-Dilug Intergalactic Empire of New Rocheron and has needed only minimal terraforming to reach its current state. It currently houses 9.1 billion people.

Description:

Hope 2 is a water world, with thousands of small to large islands breaching the surface and two medium landmasses. It has large clouds that frequently cover the sky. The planet also has a large ring system. The planet has three moons, one large and two small. Hope 2 has 92% of Rocheron's gravity, making it suitable for most species.

Importance:

As the first exoplanet colonized in the Empire, Hope 2 has a lot of important historical and scientific sites. The planet is home to Elnor University, one of the most prestigious universities in the Founder Galaxy. The capital city of Ianor has a vast system of interstellar trade, serving as a major trade hub.
Under the waves of the oceans lie many undersea settlements and cities. Hope 2 is home to many aquatic species who struggle to find housing outside of their home worlds.
