Personal history
Born to a lesser noble family and the wealth inherent with a lordship. As his father's knighthood was not hereditary, Ludvik was afforded every opportunity to achieve such station on his own merits. As a child, he served a mid-ranking officer in the local detachment of the army until such time as his mentor was called to the war front. When he was old enough, he paid his own way into Rekkenmark Academy.
While not quite excellent at everything, Ludvik was more than satisfactory in every category of study. This included a rudimentary understanding of market economics and animal husbandry, among other "lesser" studies. Being that, in spite of his family's wealth, he was still of lower status that most of his peers, he always considered himself no better than the common farmer. As such he chose to study concepts that, should the war end in his lifetime, he could be put to some use improving the lives of the less fortunate.
It was not long that he would get his wish, in fact. After graduating from the Academy, and being enrolled in the prestigious Order of Rekkenmark, Ludvik was given a commission and sent to the front to lead one of the Karrnathi Skeleton platoon. Few major battle occurred during his 16 year term prior to the Treaty of Thronehold, so he never really gained any notice from higher ranking officers. No longer needed on the battlefield, and his unique qualifications in mind, Vicegraf ir'Filipek requested the Ritter be transferred to Teryk to act as a military consultant to improve the city. The Noble didn't so much give Ludvik anything militarily significant to do, but has instead granted him control over the farms surrounding the town.
