Eberron

Between two towers spans a bridge at a dizzying height. Rain falls in sheets as a knot of people collect around a body. The crackle of lightning can be heard, but it emanates from the engine of a train pulling into the station. Inquisitives arrive on the scene, serious yet eager to discover how and why someone would be murdered here.   A caravan winds across a vast, open plain. Halflings astride dinosaurs guard the carriages and wagons, watching for bandits who might be looking for a fight. In a cloud of dust, a band of elves riding fast horses come charging toward the caravan. They begin to open fire from shortbows, more interested in the fight to come than the possibility of loot.   These and much more are examples of the weird and wonderful things that were included in Eberron. Originally created by Keith Baker for a contest run by Wizards of the Coast, his world excited me and engaged my imagination. What follows is my interpretation of his creation.
