Session 32: The Talking Episode, 20-21 Eyre 998YK
General Summary
In this episode, the party spoke with Rawl ir'Oberon about his understanding of the plot. He was able to all-but-confirm that the rakshasa that the Sharn Dragons fought had replaced Devin d'Orien years before. Jorlanna d'Cannith was shaken by the ordeal, but safe. She announced that she would be returning back to Fairhaven the next day.
Rawl was even more certain that his courier, Hazel, had not made it to her destination at the Starpeaks Observatory. He insisted that the party begin looking for her and help him in delivering the message to Larhut.
The party discussed their plans on getting to the Starpeaks as soon as possible, and decided to use the Orien Lightning Rail and jump off in the vicinity of Askelios.
Bernard ir'Laisha headed into the Journeyman's Market to invest in some traveling gear. When he arrived he saw an angry magewright explaining that their services would only be rendered at prices worthy of their skills. When questioned about the drastic inflation, Cotme the Alchemist relayed the news that Arcanix was giving preferential treatment to the nobles that applied to study and were not the meritocracy they claimed to be. Cotme, and the rest of the Journeyman's Market, would not return their prices to the previous rates until Arcanix came clean about their admissions practices and began to make amends.
