Journeyman's Market

This quarter of Passage was once a place where travelling craftsmen could ply their trade and seek the training from masters. Though that is still the case, over the past 80 years many of the stalls have been taken over by magewrights that were sent away from Arcanix. This has led to a competitive magic trade in the town, where simple magical items and scrolls can be purchased for discount prices. Most of these items work as intended, but a discerning customer- or one looking for more powerful magic- would be better suited consulting a more experienced wizard or artificer.

Encounters

  • A puppet master is telling the terrible tale of children being carried off on the north end of town to a group of curious children. Adults listening to the story can tell that even though the story is entertaining the children, it is a cautionary tale designed to help parents keep their children in their beds. Parents are lingering back away from the puppet master and whispering amongst themselves.
  • A newsboy is handing out editions of the local paper. The headline reads "Marauders Attack from Eldeen!" and the picture of an Aundarian homestead is shown in a rendering below.
  • A prim elven woman (Lumenia Nurnien) is seen arguing with a dwarven produce vendor. She is asking when the vegetables were delivered and becoming more and more furious with the quiet dwarf's responses.
