Rawl ir'Oberon Character in Eberron | World Anvil

Rawl ir'Oberon

Rawl ir'Oberon was born and raised in Passage to two prominent heirs of House Orien. When Rawl did not manifest his dragonmark in his teenage years, he took up the life of a soldier for Aundair and served with distinction. Even though he was incredibly successful, Rawl felt cursed that he didn't manifest his dragonmark. His parents divorced over the rumor that his mother Evelyn must have had a "consort". By the end of his time in the war, Rawl was known as one of the most brilliant leaders that Aundair had to offer. Turning down a post in Fairhaven as commander of the local forces, Rawl instead threw his hat into the political arena for the mayoral position in Passage. Between the adoration he held with the Aundarian citizens, and his ties to House Orien, the young general won by a landslide.   Though Rawl has been one of the most successful mayors in Passage's history, many are still confused why the young man chose to return to the city that bore his parents such grief. Is he really trying to show his worth to House Orien, as he says, or does he have an ulterior motive?
